This is probably the best photo I ever took with the iPhone 8 Plus. On certain subjects, the heavily-compressed jpgs lend a softness, a smoothness that would be hard to capture with a better camera. The room lighting in combination with the camera’s sensors and algorithms gave the flower a perfect hue.

...the Maeslantkering storm surge barrier. It is an appropriate tribute to the Dutch mastery of water. I inserted two humans for scale (they are only visible when you expand the image). Will rising sea levels render this gorgeous thing obsolete?
