The willow in summer, Garrison’s Landing
The jeweler at night, Peekskill
I took both of these photos after leaving an electronic music festival in an instrument shop in downtown Peekskill. It was going to be a regular event introducing the town as an EDM center, but there were no more of them and Peekskill was not and has not become the center of anything. The urban renewal movement of the 60s had just replaced too much of the original town center with parking lots and poorly planned shopping strips. Over twenty years I watched one unsuccessful development after another until, like many, I began to believe the damage to Peekskill was irreparable.
