Sometimes snow is falling;
We always hope it will.
Old friends start to calling;
We eat and drink our fill.
We hang up all the cards tonight
Of stables lit by starlight.
Bring the lights a little bit closer;
Hang them up where everyone sees,
Then we put that little angel
Right on top of the tree.
Stop the cat from eating the tinsel,
Stop the dog from chewing the pine.
Everything is finally up
And it looks just fine,
Just fine, just fine!
Happy Kathy, happy Susan,
Happy Mickey, and happy Mom!
Happy Pat and Susan Marie,
And Grandpa, Grandma, Mary, and Tom!
If the sweater doesn't fit
We'll take it back to Penny's (or Sears).
Made it through another Christmas
Hope we have a happy New Year!
Wrapped up all our presents,
Stacked 'em under the tree.
Gather round the table,
Talk till two or three.
Kids turn off the TV set—
They won't fall to sleep yet!
Bring the lights a little bit closer;
Hang them up where everyone sees,
Then we put that little angel
Right on top of the tree.
Stop the cat from eating the tinsel,
Stop the dog from chewing the pine.
Everything is finally up
And it looks just fine,
Just fine, just fine!
Happy Kathy, happy Susan,
Happy Micky, and happy Mom!
Happy Pat and Susan Marie,
And Grandpa, Uncle Frank, Mary, and Tom!
If the sweater doesn't fit
We'll take it back to Penny's (or Sears).
Made it through another Christmas
Hope we have a happy New Year—
New Year.
