“Spamwalk” was one of many "process pieces" put together during the short existence of We're Just Like You, a media arts collective in Cincinnati, Ohio, active in the late seventies. It was shown originally in workshops at the Contemporary Arts Center in downtown Cincinnati. “Destruction of Media Object” was a slightly earlier video from the same source. Both were shot with the new Sony Portapack, the first commecially available consumer video recorder in the United States. It recorded on half-inch reel-to-reel tapes.
